Redirect Manager automatically detects any 404 page when a customer lands on it and shows it in the app. Merchants can provide a target URL of their choice and save the changes. In the future, customers are seamlessly redirected to the new URL whenever they visit the 404 page.

To ensure smooth 404 redirection, merchants must enable the App Embed Block in the app.

The app goes beyond the Shopify Redirects feature. It allows merchants to manage and ignore broken links, apply wildcard redirects, and more. Redirects applied in your Shopify store or the app reflect in both places.

Ensure you sync to Shopify Redirects after setting a target URL in the app to avoid issues.

Redirect Manager allows merchants to bulk select multiple 404 URLs and redirect them to a single active URL in one click. Alternatively, a merchant can ignore a particular URL and send it to the ‘Ignored’ tab. By doing so, the app will stop displaying that URL in the future, even if a customer visits the same broken page again.

Merchants can add redirects to broken links outside the app. You can download a CSV file on your computer, provide target URLs, save the changes, import it back into the app, preview it, and upload it. Upon refreshing the page, you should see new URLs for all 404 URLs within the app. 

The app allows you to add a custom source path (a 404 URL) and a new target URL. This option lets you add a redirect before a customer lands on your 404 page.

Wildcard Redirects is an advanced feature within the app that automatically redirects multiple 404 URLs to a new location. This feature is useful when migrating from a different e-commerce platform to Shopify. You can apply wildcard redirects to product pages, blog pages, etc., within or outside the Shopify ecosystem.
